Dr. Yi comes from a long family line of traditional Chinese medicine practitioners. His great-grandfather, Qinfu Lei, was a national doctor of great renown hailed as a medicine Buddha who treated tens of thousands of patients across China and documented his techniques in textbooks for others to share. As a 6th generation practitioner of Chinese medicine, Dr. Yi has grown up his entire life immersed in natural wellness and healing. At an early age, he learned about acupuncture meridians and herbs from his mother. He has personally experienced and witnessed first-hand the healing ability of acupuncture and Chinese medicine. In his own life, he has been able to effectively utilize a combination of diet and herbal therapies to prevent and treat sickness without resorting to western medication.
Dr. Yi is especially passionate about the combined therapeutic benefits of chiropractic and acupuncture. Chiropractic is able to treat the mechanical causes of pain, while acupuncture is able to treat other underlying causes. When combined, these two therapies mutually enhance the effect of the other. Dr. Yi is especially proficient in managing pain of both chronic and acute natures. He is also experienced in treating a wide variety of other disorders such as headache, insomnia, digestive disorders, dysmenorrhea, respiratory illnesses, and more. With a strong background in holistic wellness, Dr. Yi firmly believes balance is the key to health.
